What are "correlated events"?
For parlay wagers, please keep in mind that you can’t include events that are considered “correlated.”
Correlated events, sometimes called “connected events,” are those where the outcome of one bet closely relates to another.
For example, if you place a baseball parlay that includes both the moneyline and run-line for the same game, it’s likely that if one wins, the other will too. This means they’re too closely connected.
Similarly, you can’t combine the favorite/underdog on the run-line with the over/under for the same game, or bet on the first half of a football game alongside the full game’s final outcome, as those wagers are dependent on one another.
Also, if an event’s point spread is 30% or more of the total, you can’t combine the favorite/underdog against the spread with the over/under for those games.
No worries, though! If you accidentally add two correlated events to your bet slip, you’ll receive an alert prompting you to remove one before proceeding.
